Nature is You Art Project

Online Exhibition

The exhibition aims to explore the connection that we have with mother nature, and include the work of many creative beings based in Scotland, professional and amateur artists.

During the past few months, we had the chance to go inward and examine our lives. The situation in our world invited us to reflect on the connection that we have with everything and our impact on the natural world. We stopped our run through life, and nature blossomed and healed around us. We are part of the natural world, like any other species on the planet, yet sometimes we tend to forget and feel detached by this essential truth.
This art project started with the desire to generate a creative wave that could support us all through this time of change and transition. Also, it wished to create a moment of reflection about the relationship that we have with our natural environment and to take responsibility for our world.

"I recently created a piece inspired by the sound of rain on a window. I recreated it using a field recording from my shower indoors. It uses piano, looped piano, violin, and synth with the recorded water sounds."

A Fragile Geography Project by Daniel Navarro Lorenzo - Video by Simon M Scott

What does nature mean to us? What do we remember of nature in the urban landscapes of streets, museums and parks? What will we remember in the future when all nature is artificial? This new dance piece will follow the music into dreams of the synthetic environment. To find out more about the project visit https://www.danlourencodance.com/places

"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost" Martha Graham

Huge thanks to all the artists for creating and

sharing their work with the world
